Internet Of Things (IoT) – Concept beyond Imagination
Technology, the word that in today’s world could be easily justified if considered as the synonym for progress and development. Today, technology is showing us various different tech gadgets and scenario that we never thought of.
Everything started with a prototype Angler by Canoga in the year 1992 where the world witnessed a sudden shift of concept of making phone smarter with implementing more features apart from just using for calling.
Since then, mentality of mobile user’s changed and is yet changing that had led to gradual increase of using scenarios of mobiles.
The changing work scenarios of a mobile phone resulted a sudden shift from everything being physical to online and on cloud sync. Since then, a sudden need of high data transfer speed was arose to fulfill different tasks on online basis.
Increasing Data Speeds leading more Cloud Dependency
The year 1965 is yet recognised as the foundation of current developing concept and logic of internet and data transfer technology. A plan was proposed for the implementation of Zero Generation or 0G which was completed with mass recognition till 1978. The beginning as expected was not developed as it is today. 0G enabled users to contact anyone on a Call with some improvement to wired telephones.
Years went on hand-in-hand with developing technology and in the year 1991 world recognised a much improvement 2nd Generation as compared to previous versions of 1G and 0G in Finland which gradually spread to other parts of world in the later years. However, 2G somehow managed to deliver a maximum data transfer upto 40 Kbps which in comparison with it’s previous versions was a huge improvement with a huge boost of 94.38% greater efficiency than 1G or 0G.
Years went on and we got technologies like 3G and 4G with was capable of delivering 7 Mbps and more than 100 Mbps simultaneously. In the previous years, we have got an another improvement to data speeds under the name of 5G. The global deployment of 5G is still under progress using millimetre wave technology that had on-paper promised to deliver maximum data speeds of 10 Gbps.
Internet Of Things – IoT
Internet, the term behind inter-user synced network. Internet Of Things or IoT is the concept of integrating Home Appliances or Physical objects to a single network using sensors across its body, being controlled by either smartphones or desktops.
World recently witnessed 5G technology of internet data transfer enabling a maximum output speeds of upto 10 Gbps which was integrated with close compliance to IoT. 5G has a data speeds that can enable everything near us to sync providing us a better experience.
In reference to the above context, Let’s imagine the lights, fans and everything at our living place being synchronized to Internet. This in return will allow the devices to use Machine Learning and provide a personalised experience.
Concept used in IoT
Internet Of Things is quite a bit complex system to be operated. Hence, it requires certain concepts to function properly.
- Hardware
- Embedded Programming
- Security
- Networking and Cloud Integration
- Machine Learning
- Data Analysis and Prediction
Being connected to servers, IoT enabled products show real-time data and analysis for the particular criteria.
IoT Working Mechanism
Working Mechanism is an integral part of any device for property understanding how it works and provides final output.
- Data Ingestion
- Data Transmission
- Data Processing
- Data Visualization
- Data Analysis and Prediction
At last, the task is fulfilled and collected data is then stored and preserved in a canonical form that could easily be used by user in diagnosing the behaviour of the product.
Threats from IoTs
Being an electronic IoT connected devices poses some serious threat to user’s privacy and data leak or malfunction.
- Man-In-The-Middle Attack
- Ransom wares
- Cloud Hacking
Most of the brands working on IoT lack a well-developed cloud logic system and can be easily hacked that can interruption and spoit the user’s privacy and experience.
Pros and Cons – IoT
Below are some of the pros and cons of the concept.
- Data
- Communication & Networking
- Data Transfer
- Automation
Today, Automation is the ultimate need of the day, IoT reduces human intervention and increases working efficiency increasing more dependency upon modern technologies.
Applications of IoT
IoT, the name for multitasking and multiple use system has certain useful applications yet as.
- Smart Homes
- Smart City
- IoT enabled Smart Wearables
- Smart Retail Stores
IoTs can help salesman Interact to the customers remotely and without any physical presence. This technique was used at many places throughout the world during global Shutdown due to Pandemic Covid-19.
Fuschia OS – The IoT Specialised OS
Fuschia, in general is recognised as one of the mind soothing colours but in the words of technology, it is the project targeted for IoTs with the source without any third party intervention with the best of security from Google.
The concerned operating system focusses different screen sizes with best of responsive nature as similar to iOS.
It is also regarded as a replacement to current Android OS with a dedicated switch for most of the IoT enabled devices like Smart-Bulb, Smart-Light, etc.
Conclusion
In the early 2015, IoT was none priority for many small and tech giants but coming to 2018, almost seven billion devices were connected to the network. It is estimated that upto 2021, every average person will persue at least 4 IoT enabled devices. Experts predict IoT market will occupy a market share of 1.5 trillion by the early 2027.
IoT market had increased from nothing to everything. Let’s try show with the some statistics i.e. a increase upto 45% workplace productivity improvement, 26% development cost reduction, 47% product quality improvement, 33% Customer Satisfaction increased.
At last, IoT is a great concept from the future but still it is under-developing stage and needs serious improvement either by security or product wise. This was Raj signing off. Thanking You.

Blockchain, a well-known system for all Cryptocurrencies. It’s working mechanism, other uses, pros and cons, uses in medical, fooding being used everywhere.
I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog
and was curious what all is needed to get setup?
I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a
pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% positive.
Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
